Job summary

Aitkin School District #1 is seeking an Elementary Paraprofessional to support students with diverse disabilities in the Special Education Department. The role involves collaboration with the special services team to help students meet individualized goals in line with state standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support students in maintaining high standards for academic achievement, including homework and classroom learning activities

Aitkin School District #1 is seeking an Elementary Paraprofessional to join our Special Education Department. This role involves working with students across a variety of ability levels and collaborating closely with special services team members.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring that students with special needs and emotional disabilities receive a high-quality education aligned with their individualized goals and state standards.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) or more years of post-secondary education OR successful completion of the ParaPro assessment (willingness to take and pass the assessment if not already completed)
  • Ability to support and implement student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
