Job summary

Middletown Township School District is seeking an Elementary School Teaching/Special Education professional to join our team as a Special Education - LLD Teacher.

Position available 11/1/2026 through 06/30/2027, with a salary range of $60,673 to $122,533 and benefits for full-time staff. Applicants must hold NJ instructional certification in Special Education and are expected to implement evidence-based practices for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High-level skills in data collection and anecdotal notes to show student growth and guide differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of multisensory language instruction (Wilson, Project Read, Orton Gillingham) preferred.
• Experience supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for all learners.

Special Education - LLD Teacher

Position Available: 11/1/2026 - 06/30/2027

Qualifications:

• Appropriate New Jersey Instructional Certificate with endorsements in Special Education required.
  • Options include but are not limited to: Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Elementary Teacher
• High-level skills in the collection of data and anecdotal notes to provide evidence of student growth and guide differentiated and targeted instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Knowledge of effective practices with multisensory language instruction, eg Wilson Reading System, Project Read and/or Orton Gillingham preferred
• Knowledge/evidence of implementation of best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students
• Knowledge of Least Restrictive Environment regulations preferred

Terms of Employment:

• Terms pursuant to the MTEA Collective Bargaining agreement
• Salary range: $60,673 - $122,533 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with experience)
• Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for medical, prescription and dental benefits on the first day of hire.
