Job summary

Griffith Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Intense Interventions Teacher to support students with IEPs and ISP plans at Beiriger Elementary School. The role involves direct/indirect services, case conferences, and collaboration with general education teachers and service providers to ensure timely evaluations and effective implementation of plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area.
• Current Indiana State Teaching License on file in the central office.
• Successful student teaching experience in exceptionality.
• Proficiency with curriculum software and basic knowledge of special education laws.
• Desire to continue career improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and/or indirect services to students according to the IEP or ISP.
• Participates in case conference committee meetings and monitors student progress.
• Develops IEPs with measurable goals, benchmarks and objectives.
• Watches implementation of IEPs and Service Plans across teachers and providers.
• Coordinates with general education teachers and service staff for evaluations.
• Ensures accommodations on assessments align with IEPs.
• Directs and evaluates paraprofessionals to support student needs.
• Collects reports and makes data-driven decisions for goals and progress.
• Coordinates FBA and BIP development as needed.
• Develops lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
