Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT in Rush Elementary School seeks a Special Education Educational Aide to support students with disabilities in a classroom setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities and follow classroom programs.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment care.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers and daily personal care.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground periods.
