Job summary

LABBB Collaborative Memorial Elementary School in Burlington, MA is hiring an Elementary School Special Education Teacher to work with students with significant disabilities. The role requires ABA experience, curriculum modification, and use of AAC devices.

The position is full-time for 11 months with a 4-week summer program. Beneficial to have a DESE license and strong assistive technology skills; driver’s license and LABBB van duties may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in progress encouraged.
• Massachusetts DESE license for Special Education (moderate/severe).
• Experience with assistive tech and equipment related to OT.
• Experience with students with a variety of disabilities and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct teaching services under applicable codes and regulations.
• Write and implement IEP goals, accommodations, and transition plans.
• Attend IEP meetings to report evaluations and service needs.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Document progress notes, data, and Medicaid billing.
• Supervise Teaching Assistants and support student independence.
• Collaborate with BCBA, OT, PT, SLP, counselors, and Vision providers.
