Job summary

Central Bucks School District seeks a Special Education Teacher - Elementary Long Term Substitute at Kutz Elementary School. The successful candidate will plan, direct and deliver instruction to students with special needs, align with Pennsylvania Academic Standards, and implement crisis prevention strategies as required.

Requirements include PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance). Elementary certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-8 certification (content area certificate required for issuance)
• Elementary certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required)
• All employment is provisional for 90 days per ACT 168 (2014) requirements and New Hire Checklist details

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes
• Demonstrate knowledge of content, pedagogy and PA Academic Standards
• Utilize crisis prevention techniques/strategies with students as required (training provided)
