Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for day-to-day operation of the classroom.
Plans curriculum and prepares lessons considering individual needs and abilities.
Devises teaching tools, techniques and equipment.
Evaluates student progress.
Establishes student behavior and classroom norms.
Counsels with parents and students.
Orders and manages materials and supplies.
Maintains safety rules and records as required.
Attends IEP and M-Team meetings as needed.
Promotes the use of technology to develop learning skills.
Performs other duties as assigned.
