Job summary

Brighton School is seeking an Elementary Soccer Assistant Coach for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This part-time role runs about 5–6 hours weekly, totaling 32 hours across the fall season. Practices are 3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. on practice days; game days run 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., with three practices per week and two games during the season.

You will assist the Head Coach, focus on fundamental soccer skills, safety, and positive sportsmanship, and help coordinate practices and games.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree encouraged.
• Coaching experience in soccer or youth athletics preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach during soccer practices and games.
• Help teach age-appropriate soccer fundamentals, skills, and sportsmanship.
• Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive participation.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Support the coordination and scheduling of practices and games.
• Assist with the management of athletic equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
