Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a long-term substitute at McGlynn Elementary (Pre-K to 5th). You will provide evaluation and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support access to curricula.

The role requires MA licensure or eligibility, and experience in public schools with IDEA compliance. Travel between locations may be required; perform IEP meetings, data collection, and use

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech/language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certification achieved by passing the national certification board examination.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Massachusetts
• MA State Certification/Licensed SLP

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional supports and strategies for special education students according to IDEA requirements.
• Attend IEP meetings/staffing and other meetings as requested
• Support teachers in developing and; implementing social and language-based supports
• Complete needed paperwork and job-related functions in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain schedule including intervention and Team meetings
• Gather, collate and/or classify data; generate reports and consider a wide variety of factors
• Utilize a variety of job-related equipment and assistive technology and AAC
• Routinely attend district and school-based meetings, training and professional development
• Compliance with existing laws and professional ethics
• Maintenance of appropriate continuing education credits, as well as state licensure
• Other duties as requested by the Coordinator of Related Services, Pupil Personnel Director, orBuilding Principal
• Travel to more than one work location in the course of the day may be required
