Job summary

DREAM, a network of charter schools serving East Harlem and the South Bronx, is seeking a Teacher to deliver a Common Core-aligned curriculum and build strong student relationships. You will collaborate with grade peers and support teams to analyze data and drive instruction, with a focus on improving outcomes and maintaining a positive school culture.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and NYS certification is preferred; experience with diverse populations and strong communication are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• New York State certification in subject area preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience with record of improving student achievement preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to engage diverse families and students.

Responsibilities

• Work with co-teacher to foster high-level achievement.
• Implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum with backwards planning and school protocols.
• Participate in grade team meetings, Student Support Meetings, IEP Meetings, and professional development.
• Track and monitor academic progress for all students.
• Analyze data to inform instruction and set high expectations.
• Communicate scholars’ progress to families regularly.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment and adhere to behavior plans.
• Collaborate with teams to analyze data and standardize practices.
• Establish relationships and support students' academic and social-emotional goals.
• Take on additional duties related to running the school.
