Job summary

Salem Public Schools seeks an Elementary Science Implementation Consultant for STEM Enrichment to plan and coordinate field trips across the district for a Read Trust-funded program. The one-year position supports transportation coordination, vendor engagement, and requisition management for Read Trust activities.

Open to internal candidates, the role involves collaboration with district leadership and building leaders to deliver equitable STEM experiences in Salem Public Schools.

Qualifications

• Current educator in Salem Public Schools.
• Experience organizing transportation for field trips in SPS.
• Experience with STEM enrichment vendors.
• Experience with the SPS grant systems of acquiring quotes, creating requisitions, and providing invoices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Science Coach and CIA Director to plan field trips.
• Communicate with partner vendors to define scope of work for the year.
• Submit scope of work and requisitions to Read Trust grants manager.
• Coordinate field trips with schools and vendors per the plan and Read Trust allocation.
• Coordinate with Transportation and issue requisitions for excursions.
• Provide Read Trust invoicing after field trips.
• Provide feedback to plan FY26-27 and FY27 Read Trust proposal.
