Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for Pratt Elementary (K-5) for the 2026-2027 school year. You will provide quality instruction aligned to state and national standards and use diverse assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions.

The position involves collaboration with colleagues, engagement of students in inquiry-based learning, and communication with families to support learning. A Minnesota teaching license or pending licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.
• Demonstrated continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development.
• Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction aligned to the state and national standards.
• Use a variety of assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with peers to develop, plan and implement best practices.
• Assess students' developmental, cognitive and social needs and provide instruction accordingly.
• Communicate with families to support learning and engage with the school community.
• Support district goals and participate in ongoing professional development.
