Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid NC teaching certification or eligibility.
• Ability to create and implement lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Commitment to professional learning and student-focused instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of assigned students
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods
• Create a classroom environment that provides student engagement and helps achieve learning objectives
• Prepare for classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain records for IEPs and 504 plans
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and needs
• Participate in PLCs and professional development
• Maintain safe instructional environment and follow safety procedures
