Lower Division Classroom Teaching position for the fall of 2025. The position is focused on primary grades 1 - 3. Therefore, experience and expertise working with this age group as well as comfort with a range of texts, resources, and methodologies relevant to young students is required.

The Primary Team consists of four core teachers across three grades, a Reading Teacher, and a cadre of specialists who teach Mandarin, French, Visual Arts, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, Chess, Science, STEM, and more. The Team also is housed under a Dean who supports the Primary Team, and a Division Director who is responsible for children, teachers, and programs from Nursery through grade 6.

Primary teachers enjoy small classes ranging from 10 - 15 students and are provided the time and autonomy to help children develop effective learning skills through a balance of traditional and creative approaches with an eye on responsiveness.

An ideal candidate has experience teaching children in grades K- 4. They demonstrate passion for early adolescent learning and fostering student ownership of their space and program. They understand the importance of cultivating an inviting environment where students can explore and connect across disciplines, and they demonstrate a commitment for addressing the individual child in their instruction through innovative experiences in the classroom.
