Elementary School Psychologist – Rise Program

Assistant Director of Special Education / Building Principal

Overview

  • The School Psychologist – Rise Program is responsible for the oversight and implementation of a specialized program designed to support students with emotional disabilities.
  • This role involves delivering specially designed instruction, facilitating skill-building interventions, conducting psychological evaluations, providing consultation to staff, and serving as a liaison among students, families, and service providers to promote emotional regulation, behavioral success, and academic engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination and Oversight
  • Lead the development and implementation of individualized and group-based supports for students with emotional disabilities.
  • Monitor the fidelity and effectiveness of interventions and adjust programming as needed based on data and student progress.
  • Coordinate with school and district-level staff to align emotional support programming with IEP goals and district policies.
  • Psychological Evaluation and Assessment
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students within the emotional support program as part of initial evaluations, reevaluations, and ongoing eligibility determinations.
  • Administer and interpret cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive assessments in alignment with state and federal guidelines.
