Job summary

New Fairfield Public Schools seeks a School Psychologist for the Elementary level to support student learning and well-being. You will evaluate students, collaborate with CST/PPT teams, and contribute to individualized education programs and behavioral plans.

The role requires Connecticut certification, a master’s degree in psychology or related field, and strong interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and staff. This is a full-time, on-site position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut Certification: 070 School Psychologist required.
• Experience with CST/PPT processes and IEPs.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations.
• Participate in CST and PPT meetings.
• Develop and contribute to individualized education programs and behavioral plans.
• Maintain progress notes and evaluation reports.
• Collaborate with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and administrators.
• Provide individual and group counseling services.
• Assist in interventions and supports for students.
• Support school-wide initiatives promoting student wellness.
