Job summary

Challenge Charter School in Far Rockaway, Queens seeks a Principal to lead K-12 campuses and report to the Senior Director of Teaching and Learning. You will foster instructional excellence, drive student outcomes, and build a strong leadership team across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

With NYS certification and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, you will guide curriculum development, data-driven instruction, and school culture.

Qualifications

• Three years of exceptional teaching experience required.
• New York State Certification required.
• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership required.
• Leadership certification preferred or enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the School by setting and enforcing high standards for student achievement.
• Develop and inspire an effective leadership team.
• Monitor progress toward charter goals and academic outcomes.
• Recruit, develop, and retain teachers and teaching assistants.
• Ensure use of effective, research-based teaching methodologies.
• Oversee operations and use of instructional resources.
• Collaborate with leadership team to analyze data and improve instruction.
• Foster a positive school climate and collaborative culture.
