The ideal candidate holds a BSN or ADN, an active Illinois license and AHA CPR, with school nursing experience preferred. The role includes IHPs/504 coordination, accurate health documentation, and collaboration with families and school staff.

Qualifications

BSN or ADN from an accredited college or university.
Active Illinois nursing license to practice.
AHA CPR certification with hands-on component.
Previous nursing experience in a school setting preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing services within the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate nursing interventions.
Care for students experiencing illness or injury and respond to emergencies.
Document health information in the school’s health records system with timeliness.
Communicate health concerns to staff and coordinate care.
Participate in care coordination for students with complex or chronic health conditions.
Support health screenings and health education as needed.
