Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Assistant Principal Elementary in Stafford, VA to support the total school program under the Building Administrator. The role involves instructional leadership, school management, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

The position requires a Master's degree, 3 years of relevant experience, and a Postgraduate Professional Certificate in Administration and Supervision. This is a 12-month, exempt leadership role within the School Based department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Three (3) years of successful, full-time experience as a teacher, supervisor or administrator.
• Postgraduate Professional Certificate with endorsement in Administration and Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of the total school program.
• Serve as primary administrator in absence of principal.
• Supervise daily school functions and facility use for academic/non-academic purposes.
• Plan and supervise emergency preparedness, including fire drills, per state law.
• Coordinate curriculum-related activities and programs and assist in staff selection and scheduling.
• Provide monthly reports to Policy Council and Supervisor of Head Start; assist with grant writing and inventories.
