Job summary

Cffde in Wilmington, DE seeks a licensed child therapist to provide intensive therapy for elementary school age children and coordinate with families and schools. You will assess needs, develop case plans, and deliver counseling, referrals and advocacy to improve student functioning, attendance and social supports.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, LCSW preferred, and strong communication, organization and crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• LCSW/LPCMH preferred; licensure encouraged or eligible.
• 2+ years post-master’s experience or strong clinical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive therapy for elementary school age children.
• Assist youth to reduce trauma, depression, anxiety and behavioral challenges; improve functioning and school outcomes.
• Provide counseling, referrals, advocacy, and collateral contacts.
• Engage families with timely contact and collaboration.
• Evaluate needs and develop accurate assessments.
