Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a School Counselor for Evergreen Mill Elementary School in Leesburg, VA. The counselor supports students’ personal-social, academic, and career planning needs and provides individual and group counseling aligned with ASCA standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university and completion of an approved school counseling program.
• Successful full-time teaching or school guidance and counseling experience.
• Eligibility for appropriate licensure; LPC may be considered in lieu of these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Works to support personal-social, mental health, academic needs, and college and career readiness of each student.
• Provides individual and small group counseling on topics such as study skills, social skills, anger management, self-esteem, and grief.
• Develops and delivers classroom instruction on personal-social, career, college readiness and bullying prevention per Virginia standards.
• Collects and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of the school counseling program and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with families, school staff, and administrators to support student achievement and wellness.
