Job summary

Monadnock Regional School District is seeking a licensed school counselor to provide comprehensive academic, behavioral, and social-emotional counseling across pre-K–12. The role emphasizes equity and access, collaboration with families, and alignment to ASCA standards.

The counselor will collaborate with the school counseling team, teachers, and administrators to implement the MRSD Counseling Curriculum and support student success with targeted interventions and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Licensed NH school counselor required.
• Follows ASCA standards and NH laws.
• Familiar with 504 policies and student data handling.
• Experience with counseling theory and techniques.
• Knowledge of ASCA National Model and Mindsets/Behaviors.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of School Counseling to design a comprehensive program.
• Lead, advocate, and ensure equity of access to counseling services.
• Provide direct counseling services to students (academic, personal/social, career).
• Monitor student progress, attendance, and behavior data.
• Coordinate with families and staff to develop intervention plans.
• Deliver lessons and small-group sessions using the MRSD Counseling Curriculum.
• Maintain professional responsibilities and participate in district committees.
