Job summary

Nutri-Serve is seeking a school cook for an elementary school in New Jersey. This role runs Monday–Friday, 5 to 5.5 hours per day and follows the school calendar. Nights, weekends, holidays and summers off.

The cook will oversee meal production, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and handle records.Qualifications include a high school diploma and food service experience; Serve Safe certification must be obtained within one year; background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months general food service experience, preferably in a school district setting.
• Serve Safe Certification required or able to complete within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of all meals and ensure kitchen cleanliness.
• Complete records and paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and staff.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
