Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Egg Harbor City, NJ is seeking an Elementary School Cook to join our school nutrition team.

This day-shift role runs Monday through Friday, 7 am to 2 pm with summers off and a 10-month calendar, focusing on healthy meals for students and a supportive school community. You will prepare, serve, and deliver meals to classrooms, maintain records, and work with the POS system, inventory, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, school, healthcare or other commercial kitchen preferred.
• Experience with inventory and recordkeeping is a plus.
• POS system experience preferred, or the ability to learn.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift kitchen supplies, and perform the physical duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for elementary school students.
• Deliver breakfast and lunch to Pre-K classrooms.
• Serve meals in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Complete daily production records accurately.
• Count and monitor food and supply inventory.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or learn to use one.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Wash dishes and assist with daily kitchen cleaning.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the school nutrition team to ensure excellent meal service.
