Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is hiring an Elementary School Cook to prepare breakfast and lunch for students in the Egg Harbor City area. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7 am to 2 pm, with summers off and a 10-month school calendar.

You will deliver meals to Pre-K classrooms and ensure smooth service. Responsibilities include cooking, keeping production records, managing inventory, operating the POS, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, school, healthcare or other commercial kitchen.
• Experience with inventory and recordkeeping is a plus.
• POS system experience or the ability to learn.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift kitchen supplies, and perform the physical duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for elementary school students.
• Deliver breakfast and lunch to Pre-K classrooms.
• Serve meals in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Complete daily production records accurately.
• Count and monitor food and supply inventory.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or learn to use one.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• W ash dishes and assist with daily kitchen cleaning.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the school nutrition team to ensure excellent meal service.
