The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Missouri teaching certification for Reading K-12, with responsibilities extending to reading, writing, and mathematics interventions and timely progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri Teacher Certificate appropriate for level and subject area of assignment (Specialized Reading K-12)

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to provide educational interventions and progress monitoring.
• Utilize an identification rubric to target specific students who need focused, short term intervention in addition to standard campus offerings.
• Set performance goals for individual students based on assessment data.
• Develop lessons targeting the specific needs of identified students.
• Provide high quality general education instruction to students needing focused, short term intervention in reading, writing and/or mathematics.
• Develop an intervention schedule for identified students based on campus needs.
• Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure fidelity of process.
• Meet with teachers to ensure lessons align with classroom curriculum.
• Communicate with campus staff, bilingual central office staff and parents regarding student progress.
• Evaluate student progress.
• May provide supplemental intervention services to bilingual students as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
