You understand that accountability, strong standards, and intrinsic motivation transform student outcomes far more effectively than traditional methods.

Alpha dedicates just two morning hours to academics, leveraging adaptive learning technology. This structure allows you to concentrate on high-leverage work: coaching students toward independent learning and developing the Guides who enable that transformation. You'll be accountable for a K-3 cohort, using observation, data, and coaching to ensure every student loves learning, progresses at twice the typical rate, and builds critical life skills.

This role is neither instructional coach nor principal. You won't lose time to administrative meetings or paperwork. Instead, you'll spend your days in classrooms—analyzing performance data for both students and Guides, delivering workshops on focus, resilience, communication, and accountability, and driving measurable growth for children and adults alike.

Your impact will extend beyond your immediate cohort. You'll capture successful strategies, create playbooks that elevate standards school-wide, and contribute to how Alpha trains its next generation of Guides. What You Will Be Doing

• Use classroom observations, performance data, and targeted feedback to coach Guides and students toward measurable progress.


• Design and deliver interactive workshops for K-3 students on life skills including communication, focus, collaboration, resilience, and accountability.


• Conduct one‑on‑one and small‑group sessions that tie student motivation to academic independence and accelerated growth.


• Develop and iterate on replicable coaching frameworks that improve Guide team performance.


• Mentor and train Guides while demonstrating excellence in coaching and facilitation daily.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching traditional lessons or presenting academic content directly; adaptive technology manages core instruction.


• Relying on punitive discipline or reducing standards when students face challenges.


• Working remotely or from an office; your time is spent directly with students and Guides.


• Handling campus operations, budgets, or parent relations; you're focused on people development and performance outcomes.


• Defaulting to traditional elementary education methods just because they're familiar or standard practice.

Elementary Program Lead Key Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

• Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Miami, FL or New York City, NY; relocation assistance available


• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Business, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 5 years working directly with elementary-aged children (roughly ages 5-9).


• Track record leading teams of five or more, including making hiring and performance management decisions.


• Experience building, launching, or scaling a program, team, school, or initiative—not just sustaining existing operations.


• Proven ability to use measurable outcomes and data to drive improvements in team or student performance.


• Enthusiastic about challenging traditional education approaches and adopting a coaching‑centered model.


• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.


• Familiarity with dashboards, analytics, or performance tracking tools to support continuous improvement.


• Proven success coaching adults to achieve measurable performance gains.


• Experience in youth development, competitive coaching, enrichment programs, camps, or other performance-focused environments.
