Job summary

BASIS Richardson is seeking qualified candidates for an Elementary PE Teacher to join our bright, passionate team. The role ensures day-to-day exceptional education by preparing and facilitating subject-specific lesson plans within BASIS Curriculum, in a co-teaching elementary environment.

SETs collaborate with LETs to meet students’ needs and deliver engaging physical education for K–3, while upholding high expectations and a world-class education culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree)
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans
• Provide subject instruction on a higher level than grade-standard in an interactive learning environment
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum/subject material
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills
• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement and respect
• Support non-instructional functions such as Early Bird/Late Bird and lunch
• Maintain regular, full attendance
• Supervise individual students or groups of students
