Job summary

BASIS Richardson is seeking an Elementary PE Teacher to join our bright, passionate team in Richardson, Texas. The role focuses on delivering BASIS Curriculum with subject-expert instruction and collaboration with LETs to meet students’ needs.

The position emphasizes planning grade- and subject-specific lessons, high-level instruction, and active student engagement in a co-taught environment, with a strong commitment to education quality and outcomes for all learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree).
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction at a level beyond grade standard in an interactive setting.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum with effective and creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and material.
• Tutor students in subject-specific knowledge and skills to boost academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster achievement, responsibility, intellect and respect.
• Support non-instructional duties such as Early Bird, Late Bird and lunch.
• Maintain regular, full attendance.
• Supervise individual students or groups.

Education
