Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional III - Physical Education at the campus level to support the elementary PE program. You will assist the principal and itinerant PE teacher in delivering the district’s PE curriculum.

The role emphasizes working with children, supervising students, and following planned lesson activities while ensuring safety and positive behavior throughout the PE program.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with a minimum of 60 college hours.
• Experience working with children in physical education is preferred.
• Ability to understand and respond to the needs of young children.
• Ability to relate well with school personnel, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in implementing the elementary physical education program.
• Work with itinerant physical education teacher to carry out the district’s program.
• Supervise students before and after school as assigned by the principal.
• Prepare and follow yearly and daily lesson plans for outdoor and indoor PE activities.
• Organize equipment, playground, and indoor areas for class activities.
• Establish classroom rules and expectations with students.
• Maintain safety procedures and report any problems immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by principal and PE staff.
