Job summary

NYOS Charter School is seeking a P.E. Educational Assistant (EA) for the elementary program.

The role supports Physical Education teachers, helps maintain a safe, organized gym and classroom environment, and assists with student instruction and behavior management. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, experience as an Educational Aide, and the Texas Educational Aide III certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three creditable years as Educational Aide or 30 hours of college credit preferred.
• Must have or be willing to obtain an Educational Aide III Texas Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of PE teachers.
• Support lesson planning and setup/cleanup for daily lessons.
• Monitor students in various environments to ensure safety and learning.
