Job summary

Mid-Del Schools is seeking a Tier 1 Paraprofessional in the Elementary Instruction department. The role supports the lead teacher by tutoring individuals or small groups, assisting with lesson plans, and maintaining a safe learning environment to help students learn effectively.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and an associate's degree or equivalent (or WorkKeys/OK GED or 48 college hours).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher, or completion of WorkKeys/Ok GED or 48 college hours at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
• Conduct learning activities with large and small groups of children.
• Communicate with the classroom teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Supervise children during instructional periods and transitions, lunch, and recess.
• Oversee students during non-instructional times and field trips.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
• Assist with technology-related instructional programs.
• Collaborate with the teacher to identify student issues and suggest solutions.
• Develop a positive rapport with students.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education
