Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or completion of WorkKeys/OK General Education Test or 48 college hours required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
• Conduct learning activities with both large and small groups of children.
• Communicate with and work cohesively with the classroom teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assist with the supervision of children during instructional periods.
• Oversee students during non-instructional times including transitions, lunch and recess, arrival and dismissal, and on field trips.
• Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean.
• Assist with technology-related instructional programs
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to recognize the issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
• Develop a positive rapport with students.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
