Job summary

Pangborn Elementary School in Washington County Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to assist teachers by working with individual students or small groups. You will also manage daily recess activities, lead organized games, and help maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must meet Highly Qualified status (AA degree, 48 credits, or Praxis test).
Effective technology skills.
Ability to lift 30–50 pounds as needed.
Ability to participate in physical restraint maneuvers when required.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills introduced by the teacher.
Assist students during recess with multiple grade levels, leading organized games and maintaining safety.
Assist the teacher in planning and reinforcing instructional strategies.
Maintain classroom organization and a positive learning environment.
Supervise and manage students during instructional and non‑instructional activities.
Support with student care as needed and appropriate.
Follow through on individualized programs and participate in team planning.
