Candidates must have two years of college credits (or 2-year degree) and be able to pass FBI/ABI background checks; fingerprinting is required.

Formación

• Two years of college credits (48 semester hours) or a 2-year degree from an accredited college/university or successful completion of the WorkKeys test.
• Experience working with school age children with various levels of physical, mental and behavioral needs.
• Background clearance through FBI and ABI processes.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the special education program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth
• Create a reading program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth
• Establish effective rapport with students
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide an educational foundation
• Establish a positive relationship with parents, students, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
• As assigned, work with individual students or small groups
• Learn and maintain knowledge of policies, routine record keeping and reports
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or overall program
• Work one on one with students with disabilities
