Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt curriculum.
• Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to create effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth; prepares progress reports.
• Identifies pupil needs and develops strategies for IEPs.
• Communicates regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, emails, conferences, etc.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintains and improves professional skills through meetings, coursework, workshops, and seminars.
• Participates in a professional learning community regularly.
• Integrates technology into instruction.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature.
