Job summary

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a Long-term Substitute to teach Music at Red Oak Elementary, with some travel to another elementary school, from August 24, 2026 through November 5, 2026.

The LTS will provide instruction aligned to student ability, create a classroom environment that fosters learning and growth, and collaborate with staff and parents to support student development during the assignment period.

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license in Classroom General Music, Vocal Music, or Elementary Education.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents and staff.

• Provide instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability.
