Qualifications

• NJ State Certification as a Music Teacher.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to play an instrument or instruments and conduct students.
• Experience teaching music at appropriate grade level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops music curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates a safe, conducive environment for instruction.
• Organizes rehearsals and directs performances outside the classroom.
• Assesses student progress and adapts instruction accordingly.
• Keeps accurate records of student activities, achievement and attendance.
