Job summary

Jenison Public Schools is seeking a Media Center Paraprofessional for District Elementary. The role supports daily library operations, assists students and staff with reading resources, maintains the library collection and catalog, supports classroom visits and reading initiatives, and helps create a welcoming, organized learning environment.

You will work approximately 29.75 hours per week during the school year, start at $18.96 per hour, and collaborate with teachers and media staff to support

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment for students, staff, families, and community members.
• Assist students with selecting high-interest, developmentally appropriate reading materials.
• Support classroom media center visits and reading initiatives.
• Assist at-risk students with access to appropriate materials and resources.
• Manage small-group sessions for reading interventions.
• Maintain the media center collection and cataloging system.
• Perform circulation duties and manage patron accounts.
• Operate and troubleshoot media center technology and equipment.
• Collaborate with teachers to support instructional goals and student learning.
