Job summary

Walker Elementary is seeking an Education Assistant-Math to support teachers by conducting instructional activities with students in small groups and one-on-one settings. The role includes record keeping and student supervision.

The position is 0.5625 FTE (4.5 hours per day) with a probationary period and pays $18.69 to $22.88 per hour. Required: AA degree or equivalent and compliance with NCLB; strong interpersonal and English language skills.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: AA degree or equivalent; No Child Left Behind requirements; preferred school setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups with math, reading, and writing tasks.
• Maintain records, supervise students, and support instructional activities.
• Follow district policies and procedures and assist with classroom setup and materials.
