Job summary

Qualifications

• K-5 Elementary Teacher or Elementary Mathematics Specialist certification.
• Content and pedagogical understanding of elementary mathematics.
• Experience differentiating mathematics instruction for all learners.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, coaches, staff, and leadership.
• Ability to learn to administer, score, and interpret diagnostic and benchmark measures.
• Plan small group instruction based on diagnostic and benchmark measures.

Responsibilities

• Building-based math interventionist
• Regularly review data to identify students for Tier II mathematics instruction
• Work with students on developing their understanding of mathematics through their strengths.
• Collaborate with specialists, other interventionists, special educators, and teacher leaders to foster a Multi-Tiered System of Support.
• Collaborate closely with Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) students and staff to support Multilingual learners (MLs).
• Connect regularly with: Role-alike interventionists across schools; Building-based coach; K-12 Director of Mathematics and Computer Science; School principal/assistant principal
