Job summary

Greenwich Public Schools seeks a long-term substitute full-time math interventionist at Old Greenwich Elementary School from approximately October 5, 2026, through approximately December 22, 2026; the position carries full salary and benefits for the duration of the assignment.

The math interventionist will provide direct instruction to students performing below expectations, with a focus on Tier II and Tier III interventions, and will support classroom teachers as a coach to share strategies

Qualifications

• Active CT State Teacher Certification or eligibility for such in elementary grades.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to coach teachers on strategies for Tier II/III interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high-quality mathematics instruction to individual students and small groups.
• Monitor student progress and report to teachers and the student assistance team.
• Use diagnostic information to design individualized programs for each student.
• Coach teachers on research-based best practices and model lessons as needed.
• Lead professional learning opportunities for staff and support MTSS intervention efforts.
