Chapel Hill Christian School North Campus is seeking a caring, Christ-centered Math Intervention Specialist to support Kindergarten through 6th grade students needing extra help in mathematics.

The role involves collaborating with classroom teachers, providing targeted math intervention, and monitoring student progress to build confidence and mathematical reasoning. This part-time position (3 days) emphasizes a supportive, Christian learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics Education, Intervention, or a related field preferred.
• Valid teaching license/certification preferred but not required.
• Experience working with elementary students in mathematics.
• Experience providing intervention, remediation, or small-group instruction preferred.
• Strong understanding of elementary mathematics concepts and instructional strategies.
• Ability to analyze student performance and use data to guide instruction.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Patient, flexible, organized, and able to work effectively with students who have varying academic needs.
• Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Chapel Hill Christian School.
• Demonstrates a personal Christian faith and a desire to model Christ-centered character to students.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted math intervention to Kindergarten–6th grade.
• Conduct small-group and/or individual math instruction based on identified student needs.
• Provide pull-out intervention as appropriate for individual students or small groups.
• Provide push-in support within the classroom in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to identify students who would benefit from additional math support.
• Use student data, classroom assessments, and teacher recommendations to determine areas of need.
• Reinforce and reteach foundational math skills and concepts.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations and recommendations with classroom teachers and administration.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of intervention services and student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to reinforce classroom instruction and the school's mathematics curriculum.
• Encourage students and help them develop confidence, perseverance, and a positive attitude toward mathematics.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and Christ-centered learning environment.
• Support the mission, vision, policies, and standards of Chapel Hill Christian School.
