Job summary

Putnam Elementary School is seeking a caring Instructional Support Specialist to bridge student learning and teacher professional development. This role blends substitute teaching with paraeducator duties to support math intervention and provide coverage during PD sessions for grades K-4.

The position is full-time (35 hours/week) with eligibility for single health insurance benefits and starts for the 2026-2027 school year. Pay is $160 per day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• CT Teaching Certification preferred.
• Experience working in a school system preferred.
• Experience supporting math instruction or math intervention programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individual math intervention to students.
• Offer reliable classroom coverage during professional development sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to align math support with current curriculum.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
