Job summary

The AMSTI Elementary Math Specialist at The University of Alabama in Huntsville will engage in instructional coaching and support for educators, facilitate professional learning, and collaborate with other specialists to develop professional learning opportunities for regional teachers to grow their content knowledge and pedagogy.

Responsibilities include delivering AMSTI-based professional learning, coaching teachers across K-5, and participating in calibration and data-informed planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education is required.
• Current Teacher's Certification is required.
• National Board Certification is a plus (desired).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and participate in professional learning for teachers and administrators.
• Lead professional learning sessions according to AMSTI philosophy and offerings (Foundational Training, OGAP, NUMBERS).
• Coach teachers to improve instruction and student outcomes using data from assessments.
