Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Elementary Math Specialist to support curriculum and instruction district-wide. The role focuses on coaching teachers, modeling lessons, and aligning the written curriculum with district resources to improve student outcomes.

The position requires strong knowledge of state standards, collaboration with campus admins, and experience in professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant content area.
Master's Degree preferred.
Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate in assigned content area.
Valid Texas Bilingual and/or ESL - preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the overall improvement of the instructional program by supporting/coaching teachers in planning for instruction, modeling lessons, utilizing district curriculum and resources, and analyzing data.
Write, revise, and align the written curriculum for the instructional program.
Provide instructional coaching with implementation of district curriculum and give timely feedback to teachers.
Visit classrooms to observe instruction and provide feedback on strengths/areas for improvement.
Attend professional learning opportunities to collaborate with other content area specialists and coordinators.
