Job summary

Response To Intervention Teacher – Primary/Elementary levels

Reports to: Chief Academic Officer.

Primary responsibilities include intervention assistance to students performing below grade level in reading and math. The RTI teacher will work with small, targeted groups of students in developing and delivering research-based strategies in addition to consistent progress monitoring. The position requires collaboration with teams in the area of data analysis and regular communication with students, parents, teachers, and administration.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist and support teaching team in delivery of standards-based curriculum to selected students.
• Provide remedial/intervention instruction to students in small group and in team teaching settings.
• Provide consistent, data-driven progress monitoring with frequent assessment and organized reporting, emphasizing student growth.
• Analyze student achievement data and use results for instructional interventions.
• Create a conducive learning environment and develop student esteem.
• Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with students, driven by growth and achievement.
• Participate in the Child Study progress including summarizing student progress and needs.
• Collaborate with RTI, ELL, and grade level teams; communicate student progress with homeroom teachers frequently.
• Employ technology in teaching/learning processes.
• Use effective oral and written communication skills to present information accurately and clearly, including technology.
• Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings (dependent on position hours and role).
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and be a strong collaborative team player.

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with RTI or reading license preferred.
• MA Department of Education certification/licensure required.
• MA State Teachers license.
• Flexibility with hours; possible part-time or full-time position.
