Job summary

Ingenuity Prep is seeking an Elementary School Literacy Teacher within our Elementary School Academy in Washington, DC. You will deliver rigorous literacy instruction, attend collaborative planning, and support students through differentiated cycles that build reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

You will work with two to three teachers in a departmentalized model, using data to drive instruction and ensure every student makes measurable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in any field.
• Teacher certification or enrollment in an alternative certification program.
• Commitment to educational equity and student-centered instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned literacy instruction that builds foundational skills and advanced competencies.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to plan, deliver, and support coherent instruction.
• Use data and progress monitoring to identify gaps, regroup students, and adjust instruction weekly.
