Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Literacy is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in elementary grades.
• Experience with language-based learning differences and assessment-informed instruction.
• Experience with the UFLI Fundations program; training in multisensory instruction (Orton‑Gillingham) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group literacy intervention to Lower Division students using data to set goals and monitor progress.
• Analyze assessment data with Lower Division teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learners.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to develop and implement literacy curriculum; share best practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents, both orally and in writing, and attend conferences.
• Differentiate reading instruction in collaboration with the Director of Academic Support.
