Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Louisiana is seeking an Elementary Instruct Aide to support teachers and supervise students in the classroom and on the playground. You will help set up learning centers, assist with small groups, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, supervising activities, completing clerical tasks, and attending staff trainings while upholding CSUSA values and mission of Student Greatness.

Qualifications

• High School degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Experience with children, including children with disabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies for students' daily activities.
• Works individually or in small groups with students to review classroom instruction, listen to reading groups, or assist answering questions.
• Supervises outside playground activities.
• Helps with general housekeeping tasks.
• Attends staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences, including in-service training as required.
